PHASE 2 TRAINING SYSTEM
>WOOD OVER GAS BURNER SYSTEM
>PUSHBUTTON CLASS A FIRE TRAINING
Class A fire training with heavy smoke and intense heat is now possible at the push of a button. Create intense heat and heavy smoke in a controlled system for efficient and effective fire training without black-smoke emissions.
HOW THE PHASE 2 SYSTEM WORKS
Integrated propane burners ignite the wood-based props to quickly create intense fire scenarios. Excess smoke and gas is drawn from the structure and scrubbed by an integrated afterburner resulting in clean-air emissions. Built-in water suppression systems and smart controls keep firefighters safe, even in the toughest training conditions.
CONTROL THE FIRE
Load wood into the fire prop and start-up the integrated propane burner with the handheld controller. The propane pilot and burner instantly produce intense flames to ignite the Class A materials. Built-in shielding protects the propane burner components from the Class A debris throughout the evolution. After the fire is extinguished the propane burner quickly dries and reignites the wood for the next training session.
Intense heat is generated and heavy smoke banks down as the neutral plane moves towards the floor. Using the hand-held controller, the instructor can adjust the amount of ventilation and control the amount of smoke bank-down. Baffles at the floor and the ceiling can be quickly adjusted to achieve the desired smoke conditions.
Excess smoke is drawn through the baffles into the ventilation system and is scrubbed by the Afterburner system. Advanced controls precisely control the combustion of the black smoke in the Afterburner to produce emissions free exhaust. Clean air is the only by-product, enabling real wood training with heavy black smoke with commercial or even residential settings nearby.
All elements of the Phase 2 system are monitored in real time by the HAAGEN control system ensuring reliable operation and safety. Each system can be monitored from the central console and training can be observed remotely via optional visual and thermal imagining camera systems.
When the E-Stop is pressed the Class A fire is extinguished and the smoke is cleared automatically for safer class A training. The fire prop is equipped with a Water-Drench System and is supplied with a high-volume water line for rapid fire suppression. The ventilation automatically adjusts to 100% capacity to quickly clear the smoke.
TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
With the Phase 2 system firefighters feel the heat and learn how to stay low, advance hose lines, search of victims and maneuver in low-to-zero visibility conditions.
Steel plates incorporated into the prop break up the water stream challenging firefighters to maneuver and get to the seat of fire.
Teach trainees to watch the neutral plane and use the proper hose line technique to cool hot gasses at the ceiling. Challenge firefighters to extinguish the flames and feel the thermal imbalance that occurs during fire attack.
Conduct Fire Behavior demonstrations and maintain control with the Phase 2 system. Show firefighters the stages of fire and how to recognize rollover and indicators of flashover.
The HAAGEN Phase 2 system enables firefighters to train with intense, heavy fire and smoke conditions, while providing instructors complete control over each evolution.
